We want to give you an update on school lunches. School lunches are FREE at American Academy for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, funded by a federal program. As we receive updates we will keep our community informed. This is a nice option for families, but it also comes with challenges. Some students reported not getting quite enough to eat, so we want to recommend packing your student additional snacks or considering sending a sack lunch. We contract with DCSD for our school lunches so some of these things are out of our control, however we will continue to advocate for full and adequate lunches.
