8th Grade Slide Show Picture – Due May 3rd

We are putting together a special slideshow for our 8^th grade students which will play during the celebration. We would love to have 2 pictures: a baby picture and a more recent picture of your student to add to the presentation. This is completely optional, but it has been a big hit in past graduation celebrations.  Please email pictures to Tammie Waddell DUE NO LATER THAN MAY 3rd. End of Year 8^th Grade Edge Adventure Trip

We are excited to let you know that we have planned our 8^th grade end of year activity. Our 8^th grade students are invited to join their classmates on a fun and adventurous day trip to Epic Sky Trek in Castle Rock on Thursday, May 9^th. This is an exciting opportunity for them to spend time together. The students will have the chance to celebrate the culmination of their 8th grade year by having fun and bonding; as well as working on communicating and problem-solving skills. Activities include Ziplining, “Sky Trek”, and the “Adventure Tower”.

REGISTRATION

Registration for the 8^th grade Epic Sky Trek field trip is a two-step process. Both steps need to be completed for your child to be able to attend this field trip. The deadline to register is midnight on April 26^th. The cost of this trip is $110, which includes a pizza lunch, snacks and drinks.

1. Parents will need to register their student for the field trip on the American Academy School Store.
2. On the American Academy School Store (and on your confirmation email) you will be able to find a link to complete a waiver for Epic Sky Trek.

8^th Grade Mixer

4:30 – 5:30 PM

Location: Motsenbocker campus

8^th grade students from all 3 AA campuses are invited to an afternoon of games, trivia, and social time. Students will be grouped by the high school they will be attending in the fall and will have an opportunity to get to know their new classmates who also attended AA. This event is free of charge and cell phones are permitted so numbers can be exchanged. Registration is not required- just show up!

Middle School Field Day

“Save the Date” for a Graduation Celebration!

It will be Tuesday, May 21^st from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  We will have fun activities, along with a DJ and photo booth.  Hopefully the weather cooperates, and we can hold the festivities outside. Stay tuned for more detailed information as we get closer to the day. Family members are invited to the celebration.
